I have watched a couple episodes of "Queer As Folk" now. For those of you not in the know, it's a series on Showcase about gay men and lesbian women and their little community in Pittsburgh (but shot in Toronto). OK, I must allow that at first I thought the idea of watching a soap opera about gay people would be weird, even a turn off when it came to the guys, which make up the "bulk" of the show.

After two episodes, I am hooked. Oddly, I find the man-to-man sex scenes very erotic, and shocking due to the amount of nudity they allow on TV these days! To get to the point, my new male erotic idol actor hunka-hunka-burnin' love is Gale Harold. He plays Brian on the show, a gay executive who does everything passionately and with a certain madness. Not only is his character dangerously alluring in that unattainable bad boy way (aside from the gayness), but he just exudes sexuality from every pore.

Of course, Peter is my man who I sleep beside (and various other positions) every night, but I'm allowed to have a little fan worship in me, aren't I? To doubters, I say just a few things: Anna Kournikova and Pamela Andersen and Carmen Electra. You had your posters of Samantha Fox or Raquel Welch, and I had my Balthazar Getty and Tom Cruise. We're just a little older now. :) So let me have my fun.
